Shawl Ministry provides knitted and crocheted shawls and lap robes for those who are undergoing a medical procedure, recovering from surgery, suffering a serious or terminal illness, or experiencing a loss. It also provides shawls for celebrations such as weddings, birthdays, baptisms, anniversaries, etc. The shawls are made for the recipients in prayerful, meditative silence.  The group meets on Thursday mornings from 9:15 a.m.-11 a.m.  Anyone who is interested may call Sister Anne or Sister Joan at 622-7138.

Spirits Alive! provides opportunities for men and women to share their gifts with others through spiritual, educational and social programs.  The Sunday by Sunday pamphlets are used for discussion regarding the weekend Scripture readings as they are related to our everyday lives as Catholics.  The group meets on Monday evenings from 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.  Anyone who is interested may call Sister Anne or Sister Joan at 622-7138.

The Youth Group is open to students in grades 5-12, and meets monthly for social and spiritual activities and community service.

Elderly Ministry

The following services are offered to elderly persons:

  • support and counseling to those who have medical and human service needs;

  • social visits both in person and on the phone to those who are homebound or in health care facilities;

  • Holy Communion visits to sick and elderly persons in their homes weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, per request.

In 2015 parishioners visited our homebound and elderly in nursing home, some receive communion visits. The highlight is the annual St. Valentine's Day Dinner, catered by Castle Caterers. Over 92 seniors attended.

Funeral planners offer the services of the parish to assist the family in planning the funeral rites.
Funeral ministers assist at the Rite of Christian Burial as greeters, altar servers, lectors and extraordinary ministers of Communion.
Memorial Meal Committee provides a luncheon to family and friends of the deceased following a funeral.  Parishioners donate food, serve the meal, set up the hall and clean after the meal.
